Psalm 32

I’m a little discouraged as I write this. Nevermind the circumstances, but sometimes even in a day filled with a great deal of joy just a couple things can cause me to become a bit downcast.

Then I read this:
Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

So, did I have a blessed day? Do I have cause to be downcast? Sure, I don’t have all the answers for a few of my present circumstances, but my sins are forgiven! Do you hear that, oh my soul? Your sins are forgiven!

So, as verse 6 says, I will offer a prayer to you, Lord, in this moment of clarity, as I remember that you are my hiding place.

Proverbs 11:8–10

Tomorrow I have a number of opportunities to talk. I have a number of conversations planned. Here is the question, will my words reflect the knowledge of the righteous or will my words destroy my neighbor. Proverbs answers the question clearly. This will be determined by one factor only, is what I say, said in the fear of the Lord? Will my conversations be in the light of His glory and grace?
