In the past it has been our goal to create a Bible reading plan to read the Bible in a year. For the remainder of 2015 we are going to do something a little different.
For the remainder of 2015 we will read through an overview of the story of the Bible. We will read about a chapter a day five days a week while skipping sections to keep the story moving.
The hope is that by reading the whole storyline quickly for the remainder of the year we will be better prepared to read the entire Bible in 2016. We hope that this overview in 2016 will give us context for how the Bible fits together and how the whole story of redemption points to Jesus.
Who is this plan written for?
We are working hard to make this year’s plan as accessible as possible. With that in mind we have put together this plan and have written the reflections especially for …
- Those who are completely new to reading the Bible.
- Those who are familiar with the Bible but have never read the whole story.
- Those who want to better understand how the whole story of the Bible fits together.
Where do I get the plan?
You can download a PDF of the plan here.
You can also simply visit BibleTogether each day and see the reading for the day on the front page. Simply click on the reading for the current day of the week.
If this is your first time reading along with us at BibleTogether we recommend that you read How to Read at BibleTogether.
BibleTogether reflections are based on the ESV (English Standard Version). Kevin DeYoung has written a helpful booklet on the benefits of the ESV. If you are looking for a good study Bible I would highly recommend the ESV Study Bible.
